I'm Stupid

I rarely visit/update this blog.
I find it very frustrating and don't like to use it because I don't really get it.
I feel really stupid because I didn't realize(or forgot) there was a due date for the three artist's work.
I'm not even sure which section of links to webpages we are supposed to choose from.
I found some artists work that I really like, and I'm hoping it's not tooo late. I've also been commenting on my peers blogs a bit.

Ellen Milinich

An artist from California who primarily uses charcoal and pastels in her outstanding portraits. She was featured as the guest artist in the 2011 june/july issue of International Artists Magazine.
I love how realistic her artwork is. The shading is so smooth it looks like a photograph.

Dion James Raath

He is an artist known for high contrast charcoal portraits. His goal is to portray his subjects in ways that will engage the audience. I like the high contrast point of view very much.

Armin Mersmann

Mr. Mersmann is known for his graphite drawings and oil paintings. His drawings are incredibly realistic and detailed. He also lives in Midland, Michigan! His work is my favorite of the three.

Ugh..

I hope i'm not the only extreme summer procrastinator.
Because i haven't started anything..
I know i am way behind but i am seriously about to lock myself in an art dungeon and not come out until these projects are done.
I am set on doing a graphite portrait of my dad, i think it will turn out okay..hopefully.
I'm really nervous about starting this up. If you can't tell already.
I've been spending a lot of time at my cabin up north gaining inspiration from the birch trees, the lake, my grandparents and old pictures i found at their house. I'm thinking about painting a landscape in watercolor..
If anyone has any tips to help me get over this blank canvas fear, they would be much appreciated.
Pictures will be up within the week!
